89 Passengers Escape Death As An IRS Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Kaduna

Barely 10 days after the ill-fated Associated Airline Plane  Claimed 15 lives in Lagos, State, another plane crash was averted at Kaduna Airport on Sunday as an IRS Airline plane with about 89 passengers and crew members on board made an emergency landing.

The aircraft which developed mechanical problems due to hydraulic leakage had to discharged its passengers on the run way.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of  IRS, Mr. Yemi Dada, who confirmed the incident said  the aircraft developed the fault on final approach to the Kaduna airport...

“The crew proceeded to land, but followed procedure to disembark on the runway and not taxi in accordance with the procedure. All passengers disembarked normally and the aircraft was towed to ramp. The maintenance crew   inspected to confirm the issue that caused the warning on the aircraft cockpit to the crew.”

In conflicting reports, the Special Assistant (Media) to the Minister of Aviation, Mr. Joe Obi denied the plane was ever involved in an emergency landing.
