Detlev G, is said to have been 'obsessed' with cannibalism and met his 59-year-old victim from Hanover on a cannibal website. The 55-year-old German police worker has been charged with murdering and chopping up the man who had long fantasized about being killed and eaten.

Police say the victim was tortured, killed and dismembered and body parts were found buried in the garden of Detlev's home in the eastern Ore Mountains, near Dresden.

The handwriting and document analysis specialist was arrested on Wednesday at his workplace, the Criminal Technical Institute in the eastern city of Dresden, authorities said...

Eji Emmanuel, 22, allegedly stabbed a 39-year-old trader, Sylvanus Okoye to death at his home on Ezemegbu Drive, Okota in August.

The suspect, however, explained that he killed the deceased in self-defence. He claims on the day of the incident, Okoye had attempted to rape him.

According to him, a Pastor, Daniel Odedele, resident in the community had to intervene by forcing the baby out of the goat’s genital when it was apparent that it could not deliver it unaided.

A 24-year-old farmer, Danladi Abubakar, has been arrested by the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID for allegedly beheading a toddler, Hadiza Mohammed for ritual purposes. He confessed he was contracted by a man in Bida, who is on the run.

Abubakar who also admitted to severing her private parts said he was promised a reward of N20,000 after the contract. The incidence occurred in Fujeregi village, Gbako Local Government Area, Niger State.

Primary 5 Pupil Commits Suicide In Ebonyi - Seen Hanging On A Tree

Chisom Okechukwu, 12, was found hanging on a tree at her family compound at Nnoche-Uduke Community in Ebonyi State after allegedly committing suicide.

The body of the deceased was discovered by her younger sister on her was to the pit latrine at the back of the family compound.

Chisom, a primary 5 pupil was said to have left home on Saturday and was not seen until Sunday morning when her lifeless body was seen hanging on a tree.

Officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Lagos have arrested a University dropout, Sodiq Jimoh, who prior to his arrest was a trader and a hired killer in the famous Alaba International Market.

According to Punch Nigeria,

Jimoh, a 28-year-old indigene of Lagos State, confessed that he was a member of Eiye Confraternity and was responsible for the murder of many rival cult members.

Couple Arrested As 3 Women Are Freed from 30 Years In Captivity

A couple, both 67, were arrested on Wednesday and after police rescued three alleged ‘deeply traumatised’ slavery victims, including a 30-year-old woman who spent her whole life in servitude, have been released on bail.

Police said the British woman who was the youngest victim, had never been allowed to step into the outside world, and had possibly been born in captivity in the early 1980s. She fled with a 69-year-old Malaysian and an Irishwoman of 57, who had all been held in servitude by a couple in their 60s for three decades. There were concerns that there may be more victims.

As Oduah gets busy buying armoured cars and N500bn SURE-P fund assumes imaginary legs before absconding, 24-year-old Olafinraye Adedamola who didn't want to be left in the dark, posed as a lady to defraud a United States of America couple of $42,497.

Vanguard reports;

The suspect, identified as Olafinraye Adedamola, admitted the offence while being paraded yesterday.

He was said to have connived with a Malaysian lady to defraud the couple. The Malaysian lady, according to him, was his Facebook friend, adding that he had intended to use the money to further his studies in a tertiary institution.

Dr. Muhammad Nazeef Yunus, assistant lecturer at Kogi State University, was paraded in Abuja alongside four other Boko Haram members after they were arrested by men of the State Security Service (SSS). The suspects were said to plan deadly attacks on Igala, Kogi State.

The University Don who denied his involvement alleged he was being set up.

Dr. Nazeef said: “My Islamic preaching had always been against the activities of the Boko Haram sects, but I was shocked when the other suspects insisted that I was a member and the one that recruited them into the sect. I have never been a member of Boko Haram for one minute in my life, I even preach against them.”
