9-year-old Boy Emerges Nigeria's Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional

Jomiloju Tunde Oladipo,9, a pupil of Role Model School, Ikeja, Lagos, is now the Youngest Nigerian Microsoft Certified Professional. He bested 21 other pupils who sat for the professional examination in Lagos.

Jomiloju who is now a Microsoft office specialist in Office word 2010, scored 769 out of 1,000 in the professional examination which was held in August.

He credited his notable achievement to  hard work and persistence, acknowledging it was not an easy feat.
 
“It was not all that easy, because I had attempted the examination last year, I did not make it then. But I remained focused and I put in a lot of hard work.

“At home and in the school, I am always on the computer. After school hours, if am not doing anything, I will go to my Information Communication Technology teacher, to learn more.”

The 9-year-old has now joined a league of young Microsoft certified professionals, which includes Nigeria’s Anjolaoluwa Seyi-Ojo, 10, Lavishnashree,8, from India and Arfa and Thobani from Pakistan.

Jumiloju also heaped praises on his parents for their unending support and for instilling persistence in him.
