Balling??? Nigerian Government Orders 53 Gold-plated iPhones For Independence Celebration

Gold-plated iPhone

The Federal Government of Nigeria has ordered 53 gold-plated iPhone 5S  worth about N682m from Gold and Co., United Kingdom. The purchase was said to have been made as part of the memorabilia for the nations 53rd Independence anniversary.

“We will engrave them with the coat of arms, a shield and two horses. “ Amjad Ali, CEO, Gold and Co., tells UK newspaper, The Independent.

The Federal Government has however denied the allegations saying they did not make any iPhone order from the Businessman, and that the report was a lie.

Is this another way the Federal Government plans to reduce the poverty level in Nigeria? I'm still trying to find a way around this madness...
