Jonathan Sacks Nine Ministers in His Cabinet

During the Federal Executive Council Meeting in Abuja there was a cabinet reshuffle, as a result of that President Goodluck Jonathan dropped nine serving Ministers.

Among those sacked are Minister of Foreign Affairs,  Amb. Olugbenga Ashiru,  Minister for Environment, Hadiza Ibrahim Mailafa, Minister for Housing, Ms Amma Pepple, Education Minister,  Prof Mrs Ruqayyatu Rufa’I, Ministers of  National Planning,  Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, Minister of  Science and Technology, Prof  Ita  Okon Bassey,  Minister of State for Power, Zainab Kunchi and Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada.

No official reason has been given for the reshuffle, while a presidential spokesman said there would be no rush to replace the sacked officials.
