3 Beheaded In Zamfara State

Three men were said to have been beheaded as Hausa and Fulani youths clashed in Zamara State on Friday. The Acting Governor of the State, Hon. Sanusi Garba barely escaped death as his convoy was also attacked.

Tribune reports;

The acting governor of Zamfara State, who is also the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Sanusi Garba Rikiji, escaped death by the whiskers at the Tudun Kuya in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of the state on Friday, following a mob attack on his convoy by Hausa youths said to be protesting compensation paid to families of three Fulani youths killed by vigilance groups in the village.

4 Men Found Guilty Of Torturing Gay Man To Death

Four Chilean men have been found guilty of torturing a gay man for over an hour with cigarettes and glass bottles before leaving him for dead.

Patricio Ahumada Garay, Alejandro Angulo Tapia, Raul Lopez Fuentes and Fabian Mora Mora were convicted of the first degree murder of Daniel Zamudio on the 18th of October.

Malala Reunited With Schoolfriends Since Pakistan Attack

Campaigning Pakistani schoolgirl Malala Yousafzai was reunited on Saturday with two friends who were injured in the Taliban attempt to kill her.

Kainat Riaz and Shazia Ramzan met Malala during an event at Edinburgh University in Scotland, the first time they have seen her since the attack.

Chinese Scientists Invent World's First Wifi-emitting Lightbulb

When it comes to breathtaking innovations and inventions, China is one country that is always in the forefront. Dailymail reports that Chinese Scientists have developed the technology called Li-Fi; the world's first wifi emitting lightbulb.

A group of scientists in China have invented the world's first lightbulb that emits its own wifi signal.

Researchers at Fudan University in Shanghai, have developed a prototype for the new technology, which they have aptly named Li-Fi.

A case has been brought against them by Shanghai prosecutors for human trafficking after they illegally put their third child up for adoption online and accepted money for the baby, the Liberation Daily reported.

Baby Born With 4 Ears and No Genital in Makurdi

A baby was delivered by Mrs Mbanengen Emmanuel at about 5:30 p.m at Yima Hospital, located in International Market area, a suburb of Makurdi in Benue on Thursay.

The baby was born with four ear lobes and no genitals.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. John Dzike said the baby also had its intestines exposed at the lower part of the abdomen.

This footage from surveillance cameras was obtained by CNN, which edited out most of the footage it received, including the most graphic content. It depicts the terrified reactions among shoppers at the moment the gunmen first went on the attack.

The gunmen shoot randomly, while taking phone calls and pausing to pray. At least 67 people were killed in the assault.

Only four gunmen can be seen on this CCTV footage. It is still not clear if they escaped or were killed.

Shoppers in one store are shown going about their business and then turning around in unison, as they simultaneously become aware of the beginnings of the attack.

Adeyemi Akintolure, 40, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for practicing medicine without a license and for defrauding a client (Joy Umosekjaimhe) of N500,000. He was arrested after she filed a petition against him.

According to Ngozi Braide, PRO Lagos State Police command,the suspect presented a certificate of annual practicing license purportedly issued to him by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

FIFA Ranking - Nigeria Move Up Three Places In Latest Rating

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up to the 33rd position in the latest FIFA global rankings released on Thursday. Nigeria gained three spots from last month's ranking following their victory against Ethiopia in Sunday's World Cup first leg play-off in Addis Ababa.

Cote D'Ivoire continue to be the top ranked African side moving up two places to 17 this month. Ghana also moved up one spot to finish in 23rd position while Algeria dropped four spots to finish in 32nd position just ahead of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Spain remain the leading country in the world followed by Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Belgium in the top five.
