I really can't phantom how the 21st century woman still falls prey to these spiritual shenanigans. In a world where women are constantly looking for new ways to break out of the norm and make a mark in this ever changing world, some are busy going after spiritualists for deliverance and all sorts of panacea.
Temidayo Akinwale, a 31-year-old businesswoman recently found her way to one of these spiritualists, Ifatade Elegbeleye, who raped and impregnated her as she needed deliverance.
The woman who was also defrauded of her N2m made contact with the herbalist to deliver her from strange spirits that prevented her from getting married...

Temidayo was said to have been lured to Elegbeyele's shrine at Ayobo road, when the 'prophet' prophesied to her that she was possessed with a spiritual husband who is keeping her from getting married. The Prophesy did not just end there...she was also asked to pay some amount of money for the 'cleansing'.
After the money was paid, Temidayo accompanied her 'deliverer' to a river at Ipaja in the middle of the night where she was bathed with spiritual soap.
Obviously not satisfied with bathing the victim, Elegbeyele invited Temidayo to the shrine again where she was raped.
Elegbeleye has been arrested and charged before a Magistrate Court at Okoro, Lagos, where he is facing a six-count charge of fraud, stealing and obtaining sex under false pretence.
He however denied collecting money from the victim, adding that the deliverance actually worked and that the spiritual husband is no more.
Presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.A. Layinka granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 and adjourned the case till 21st of December.
