3 Police Officers Killed As Gunmen Bomb Police Station In Kogi State

Osara Village, Kogi, was thrown into a state of frenzy as 20 Gunmen were said to have attacked and bombed the Area Police State in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State. Three police officers and one other person were killed in the attack which started around 10 pm.

According to the reports, the gunmen attacked the station using dynamite, while some others shot periodically into the air to scare away passersby. A villager was said to have been killed after being hit by a stray bullet.

Mr. Romanus Nwaneri, State Police PRO, who confirmed the incident, said investigations into the cause of the attack was underway.
