Cannibal Eats the Heart and Tongue of a Man After Hearing Voices in His Head

A 26-year-old homeless man broke into 90-year-old man's home in Nouilhan, Southern France where he bashed the man’s head open with a metal object before ripping out the body parts he consumed. The man ate the tongue and heart before burning the body and then setting fire to the 90-year-old’s house, blaming voices in his head.

The flames alerted the victim's son, who lives nearby, who discovered his father’s body, investigators said. Police discovered the body of the victim with an open wound clearly visible on his side, and a cooked meat on a plate with white beans taken from the old man's fridge.

Before committing the gruesome murder, the man also attacked another villager, hitting him against a tractor and breaking his shoulder.

Police finally managed to arrest the man, from the nearby village of Tarbes in the Haute-Pyrenees department, some three hours into his rampage.
