PR representative Justine Sacco who tweeted a racist 'joke' (See Story HERE) before boarding a flight to Cape Town, South Africa, has been fired by her employers.

Sacco Tweeted: "'Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just Kidding. I'm White!' The tweet immediately went viral as over 3,000 people retweeted her racist 'joke'. 

A spokeswoman for the company has now confirmed Sacco has indeed been sacked.  

She said: "There is no excuse for the hateful statements that have been made and we condemn them unequivocally,"

 

"The offensive comment does not reflect the views and values of IAC.
 

"We take this issue very seriously, and we have parted ways with the employee in question."
