Muslim Youths Attack Christian School In Osun - Beat Up Students And Principal

Baptist High School, Ejigbo in Osun State was attacked on Monday as Muslim youths invaded the school, beating up students, teachers and the principal of the school.

The attack is an aftermath of the new education policy in Osun which involves merger and reclassification of schools in the state.

According to reports, the attackers ramped the school because the authorities allegedly stopped some Muslim students from wearing hijab...

The irate youths were said to have headed straight for the Principal’s Office, Mr. Layi Oguntola, asking him to apologise for sending the hijab-wearing students away from school but he allegedly refused the order. Angered by his refusal to apologise, the invaders pounced on him and clobbered him to a state of stupor.

The Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Omowonuola Oyesosin, was said to have offered his palace as a refuge for the teachers and students while he also ensured the rescue of the principal from the fierce-looking youths.

The clobbered principal was rushed to the Baptist Medical Centre, where he was said to be receiving treatment.
