DISHEARTENING - Man Rapes His 15-year-old Daughter in Oyo State

A 48-year-old man, Sanni Idowu, was  arrested at Ifedapo, Amuloko area of Ibadan Magistrate District of Oyo state on October 23 for allegedly raping his own 15-year-old daughter.

Mr. Idowu was arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday for forcefully having sex with his daughter.

According to the prosecuting police officer, S. Ogunremi, the offence contravenes Sections 357 and 358 of the Criminal Code Cap. 38 Vol II Laws of Oyo state of Nigeria 2000.  He pleaded not guilty, when the charges were read to him.

S.A. Oyediran, the presiding Magistrate, adjourned the case till December 9 for hearing and ordered that the accused person be remanded in prison till the next sitting.
