30-year-old Man Stabs Friend To Death Over Alleged Affair With Wife

Wasiu Yusuf, 30, has been arrested by the Police in Ogun State for stabbing his friend, Adeolu Olatoye, to death for allegedly having an affair with his wife. The incident which occurred in Abeokuta on Saturday night was said to have been instigated after Yusuf caught his friend with his wife in their matrimonial bed.

Yusuf however did not commit the crime alone as 32-year-old graphic artist, Mukaila Popoola, who is said to be on the run, was also fingered in the crime.

The acting State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said the police were already investigating the incident with the information they gathered.

He said: “Information at our disposal is that the suspect met the deceased on his wife inside their room.”

In a conflicting report, an eyewitness said Olatoye (victim)  had gone to his friend’s room to drop an invitation card for his mother’s 80th birthday scheduled  for Saturday when Yusuf attacked him with bottles.
