Mysterious Conception? Mad Woman Self-Delivers Baby At Rubbish Dump In Lagos | Pictured

Culled from PUNCH - For four years, she was known to wander the street of Badejo Kalesanwo, Oduduwa Community, in Mushin Local Government Area Lagos State. She slept on the road, ate from bins and went about in tatters. Some months ago, people saw her with a protruding belly and dismissed it as fibroid growth.

 However, on the morning of December 25, 2013 the unknown mad woman, who identified herself to PUNCH Metro as Amudatulai, a native of Ibadan in Oyo State, went into labour and self-delivered a baby girl as residents watched in awe...

Headies 2013: Full List Of Winners

Headies 2013 took place yesterday at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, as stars; Iyanya, Waje, Olamide, Phyno, Praiz, Seyi Shay, Niyola, Zaina and Yemi Alade, took turns to rock the Headies stage.

Olamide 'headed' home with 3 awards on the night plus an award for collaborating with Phyno on Ghost Mode. Afro pop star Sean Tizzle won the Next Rated award which came with a Hyundai Tucson SUV.

“It was the cry of the child that attracted the child’s mother" - Boy rapes 3-year-old Child In Lagos

“It was the cry of the child that attracted the child’s mother and the Police was alerted,” Prosecutor, Inspector Racheal Williams told an Abule-Egba Magistrate's Court, after a 12-year-old boy was accused of raping a child, 3, in Lagos State.

According to Williams, the victim was carried to the bathroom by the rapist where he carried out the evil act on the 2nd of December.

Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen, has ordered the arrest of the accused's parents after he pleaded not guilty to a one-count charge of rape.

The accused was granted bail in the sum of N50,000, while the case was adjourned till Dec. 20, 2013.

The story of 32 years old Pius Abayomi Abiodun is one which causes remorse, pity and at the same time could go for one of the ‘Wonders of Lagos’. The handsome well built light complexioned gentle man is one of the thousands of Commercial Bus Drivers popularly called Danfo Drivers in Lagos. Of course to many drivers of private vehicles nothing will make them not include Pius in the list of those causing menace on Lagos...

1-year-old Child and Two Siblings Burnt To Death In Lagos

Three siblings were burnt to death when flames engulfed a building and a church in Iba Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos State over the weekend.

The deceased siblings who were identified as a one and a half year old child, Imoleayo, Ismaila, 8, and Busayo Ganiyu, were said to have been sleeping when the fire started.

Primary Three Pupil Burnt With Iron by Her Mother in Lagos

 Mrs. Maxwell who is in police custody reportedly assaulted her daughter, Blessing, a primary three student of the Lagos Model Nursery and Primary School, (LMNPS) Ikeja GRA with a hot iron on the 25th of November.

According to Punch Nigeria;

It was gathered that the incident came to light after a neighbour, who lived within the Police College Barracks, Ikeja, with the Maxwells, allegedly called the authorities of the LMNPS to complain about Blessing’s condition. Blessing’s father is said to be a police corporal...

Man, 42, Rapes 10-year-old Girl In Lagos

Taiwo Bakara has been arrested by the police in Lagos State for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in his apartment. The suspect who stays at Igando is said to be specialized in the act of defiling and harassing little girls in the area.

Vanguard reports;

It was further gathered that the victim (name withheld) who resides in the same street fell prey to Bakare’s ambush on Sunday September 10, 2013, after he accosted her at her mother’s shop and lured her to his apartment where he had canal knowledge of her.   The little girl was said to have felt excruciating pain after the sexual intercourse and her mother who wasn’t at home when she was raped later noticed what was happening and asked her daughter. She revealed details of how she was raped and her mother swiftly ran to the police at Igando and reported the matter.

Court Grants Bail to a Man Who Allegedly Raped a Four-year-old Child

47-year-old Orire Agidiogun, who allegedly raped a four-year-old child in his apartment was granted a N300,000 bail yesterday by an Apapa Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.  He is facing a three-count charge on rape and unlawful detention.

According to the prosecutor, Inspector Soji Ojaokomo, the accused enticed the four-year-old child to his room, where he raped her.

Police Inspector Killed by Furious Youths in Ogun

Rage was flared up in the youths of Oke-Odan community in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun last Monday, when security operatives shot one of them, Yinka Falola. The violence that erupted between the youths and policemen led to the killing of a police inspector, Kolapo Lasisi.

A source said a police officer, Inspector Olusesan Sounde attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos, allegedly shot and killed 30-year-old Falola on Monday afternoon.

Woman Gives Birth In a Keke Napep

 
'Paraga' seller, Basirat Ogundeji went into labour and gave birth to a baby girl in a Keke Napep before she could reach the clinic. According to P.M news, the 28-year-old herbal seller was on her way back home when she went into labour.
Basirat went into labour when the  bus  she boarded  at Ikeja on her way back home developed fault and was being repaired by the  bus driver at a bus stop in Oregun.

It was learnt that when she could no longer bear the labour pains, Basirat quickly sought the assistance of a woman who was selling by the roadside.

Basirat, with the assistance of the woman, took a tricycle to Oregun Flagship Primary Health Centre but she gave birth while they were on the way to the clinic.

25-year-old popular model/video Vixen Marie Miller was crowned Miss Earth Nigeria 2013 on Sunday in Lagos as she beat 22 other contestants to the crown. Boris Kodjoe, Amber Rose and Karly Redd were all Judges at the event which took place at Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

The new Miss Earth Queen walked home with a brand new 2013 Toyota Avensis and N3 Million one year salary. Miller will also represent Nigeria at the Miss Earth Pageant later this year.
