Shii Just Got Real! Mother Live-tweets PHOTOS From Her Own Home Birth

A mother who live-tweeted and posted photos from her own home birth has opened up about why she thought it was important to share an honest account of the experience.

British-born blogger Ruth Iorio (née Fowler) who lives in Los Angeles, began labor on Christmas day and continued to post on Twitter about it over the next 12 hours, from the moment her contractions began to when she delivered her baby boy and was transferred to hospital for a blood transfusion.

She told the Huffington Post her aim was to open people's eyes to the 'unique experience' of home birth, 'whether attractive or not, and just be honest about it.' See more photos after the cut....

The elaborate swimmers will be modelled by Samantha Harris at the inaugural Gold Coast Swim Fashion Festival in Queensland on November 28. Ann collaborated with swimwear label Sunseeker to craft the 133-carat piece, which Harris will wear at the Sunseeker's show at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort.

Holy grail of modern day invention?  The AeroMobil 2.5 hybrid vehicle is the brainchild of designers Stefan Klein and Jurak Vaculik based in Bratislava, in the Slovak Republic.

The incredible flying car has been developed to let drivers skip traffic jams and take to the skies.

The vehicle can be driven on normal roads as well as being flown as a two-seater airplane, as it is able take off and land at any airport, 'opening the door to real door-to-door travel,' according to a Slovakian company.
