Alhaji Ganiyu Kolawole

Alhaji Ganiyu Kolawole, 71, who is a night guard and farmer, has been arrested in Akure, the Ondo State capital, for allegedly raping a seven-year-old primary one pupil.

Report had it that the suspect who is from Benue State lives alone in a dilapidated house on Mission Road, Ayetoro Street, Oba-Ile, Akure where he allegedly committed the act. He is fond of raping children and was jailed recently for a similar offence.

Something sorrowful, lugubrious, heartbreaking, happened in Ondo State as a 4-year-old female pupil of Falaye Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Akure, was flogged to death by her teacher, Alade Adebayo, for being too stubborn.

The deceased, Elizabeth Wanogha, was rushed to a private hospital where she was pronounced dead after she was beaten to a state of coma by the heartless teacher.
