Eight-year-old Girl Raped To Death In Akwa Ibom

An 8-year-old primary three pupil of Christian Victory Nursery/Primary School, Ikot Ekang, in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, has been raped to death by two unknown men.

The incident occurred on Tuesday between 6.45pm and 7.30pm, when her maternal grandfather, Mr. Enobong Wilson, sent her to a nearby store.

The Head Teacher of the school, Mr. Ufok Tommy, said when the girl did not return from the errand her maternal grandfather sent her, the man became anxious about her whereabouts.

How on earth do people like this stay alive? When will our Government and the Law put deserving penalties to this heinous crime called rape? When will Nigeria and perhaps the world at large STAND UP AGAINST RAPE? I say that time is not tomorrow, No...That time is now. Recently a 34-year-old rapists and killer was arrested by the Imo State police for raping a teenager to death.

The Police in Imo State, recently,rounded up the brain behind the death of a 12-year-old girl, Ifunanya Favour Iberi who was declared wanted two months ago by arresting a 34-year-old man identified as Samuel Chukwunyere.   Police alleged that the suspect was responsible for raping the teenager to death and dumping her lifeless body in a deep well.
