32-year-old Olubankole Wellington a.k.a Banky W, Chief Executive Officer, of EME - Empire Mates Entertainment was born in the US to Nigerian parents who later moved back to Nigeria when he was 5 where he began singing in his church choir at the age of 8. He studied at the Home Science Association Secondary School, Lagos after that he moved to New York to study industrial engineering on scholarship. 

It was not all rosy for Banky at the kickoff of his career, he met a lot of stumbling blocks. From begging for audience at salons in the United States to doing menial jobs. He shares his experience. See interview below...
